I still love Counting Crows...eleven or twelve years later.
I actually had a dream about meeting Adam Duritz for the third time for some reason (I have met him in real life once), and it was very cool. I haven't had a chance to bust out the bajillion songs I have of theirs lately, so maybe it was just my brain reminding me to.
OR there could be some kind of crazy dream interpretation about Counting Crows...if you dream about Counting Crows it means you need to stop eating chocolate. Or do your homework.
I miss music. It's harder for me to study when I'm listening to it, so I don't get to listen to it near as much :(
I'm not a huge fan of how fast the weekends end and how fast I have to start attempting to catch up on studying.
Un Regal at the BSU was incredibly cute last night. All the boys got dressed up and served the ladies. There were candles and rose petals and fancy table cloths and REALLY GOOD FOOD!!! And I got to dance with my boy at the end, so I more than enjoyed it. They guys put on a really funny show, too. They dressed up as characters from The Lion King, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, and Grease, and in between their acts, they had filmed "commercials" like a spoof of "It's Gonna Be Me" by N'Sync and the "Single Ladies" skit from SNL. Headed out to IHOP afterwards and ended up having 20+ people there. It was quite entertaining.
Mmm...new James Morrison. Haven't even had a chance to listen to it yet. Goodness. It just makes me all happy on the inside.
What does NOT make me all happy on the inside is finding out that Mojo's is having Jon McLaughlin, and I didn't hear about it and didn't get tickets. Grrrrrrrrr.
Political Science reading is really boring.
The Rihanna/Chris Brown thing is just terrible. I hate how it's all over the place, and MTV even did a special show over it. I suppose that it's good that they're getting the word out about how to escape domestic violence, but I just don't like hearing over and over again what happened to her.
Yes, I love Hanson. I can't wait for Tinted Windows (another shameless plug). But I REALLY wanna go see Hanson again. They were freakin awesome.
Lots of studying to be done. Don't know much else.
Til next time.

Tinted Windows
So, I feel it is my civic duty to spread the glorious news that I found from Andrea:
Guys from the Smashing Pumpkins, Cheap Trick, Hanson, and Fountains of Wayne are forming a band called Tinted Windows. I'm already in love.
Sitting in J1100, my hatred of Bill O'Reilly is renewed.
Life has been good lately. Minor freakout/breakdown over not having my Photoj project finished...or even begun, but the biggest part got done last night, so I'm good with that. Notes still need to be taken over Poli Sci and the classmate proposal for Photoj needs to be written.
This Tuesday-Thursday one-two punch is a pain in my patoot. I have too much A.D.D. for this.
I enjoy watching Gilmore Girls and the Real World and cuddling up for naps with Sean. That all makes me happy, and I've got to experience it all within the last 48 hours. Life is good.
Til next time.

"Facebook is for old people..."
Valentine's Day weekend seemed to be the demise of this attempt to write a blog daily, and surprisingly, I'm okay with that. It included the Beauty and the Beast gymnastics and wrestling meet, seeing a Spanish guitar player/singer at the Artisan, watching Mizzou basketball beat the crap out of Nebraska, lunch at McDonalds, playing Guitar Hero, dinner at Applebee's, and driving around town late at night looking at fancy houses. All in all, I would classify it as a bitchin' weekend.
Mondays, however, are not so bitchin'. It included waking up the exact minute my 8:30 class started...whoops. But I got dressed and to class within 7 minutes, so I was pretty damn proud of myself. Got to watch Pictures of the Year International judging, so that made up for the early morning. Sports action fo sho! Among other things, a fun Spanish class, and an excruciatingly painful English class. It's like nails in the eyeball. I don't know how I will survive it.
Other than that, it's just depressing when you actually get stuff done, but you feel like you have accomplished nothing because your list is so freakin long. It's saddening.
On the lighter side, the weather was awesome today. Hoodie only! And skipped J1100. Hehe. A shower and food was more important. Some days, you gotta prioritize.
More Poli Sci notes to be taken, an English paper to be ripped apart, a Photoj proposal that is nowhere close to being written, and and Photoj project due on Friday that has yet to be started...again, whoops.
Don't know much else.

Light On
So, I'm sitting in Pershing. There are shit tons of other tables around. And these stupid hoes have to sit at my table. Bitter? Yes. Truthful? Yes. Perturbed? YES.
Goodness. Do you ever just come across people that are so damn stupid you wonder how they even function? Welcome to my life at this moment.
"You know what's so annoying about Spanish? The part where you have to write shit. Like, I know how to talk it, but, like, when I like, write it, I like, don't know what to, like, write."
Verbatim.
In any case, this Political Science exam is gonna eat me alive. I'm trying to study, and it's not working out too well. The notes are way too long and tedious.
Meeting with Prof Mack tomorrow...can't wait to see what will happen there. And PA interview. Also exciting.
On the lighter side of things, I went out and shot for my Honest Emotion assignment and ended up really enjoying it. Other than being taken out of the ping-pong room and taken to get a press pass, it went without a hitch. Met three Chinese students, and they were a riot. Very animated and personable. Overall, a very good time.
The week is winding down...tomorrow is probably the most important day of the week, but I'm ready for it to be over. Still need to get my project put together and such. But after tomorrow night, I should be home free! A pretty relaxing weekend ahead, hopefully.
Back to being annoyed by stupid bitches.

Basketball, Anyone?
Yes. I was at THE game. The Mizzou vs. kansas game. Eighth row. And rushed the court.
Sean and I arrived at the arena at 5 o'clock with the gates not opening until 6:30 and the game not starting til 8. And when we got there, we weren't even near the front. There had to have been at least 50-75 people in front of us in either line.
Going into it, I thought we had a chance, but after that first half, I was about ready to throw in the towel. And again after that run in the second half, and the other run, and the next run. Then 60-60. And Zaire Taylor...with 1.3 seconds left nailed a jumper. At the sight of kansas missing the Hail Mary, I jumped into Sean's arms...literally. It was mass chaos, and there was no way we weren't going to rush the court. We ended up in the middle of the mob, right on the other side of the ESPN cameras, with Taylor looking right at us. Talk about awesome.
I still can't really find words to describe it. It was an experience. The M-I-Z...Fuck kU cheers, booing of kansas fans while waiting in line...just everything.
Other than that, back to back J1100 and Poli Sci nearly kill me. Maybe it's because they're too damn long, maybe it's because I have A.D.D. But I did have a Venti Vanilla Bean Frappucino today, so that helped. A little.
I'm just so flighty with my interests. Some days, I'm interested in something, other days, it's something else. And that's not so good when it comes to a career choice. It's probably just an off day. And not wanting to go to class at 5 o'clock. I think that would be the case for any class, no matter how much I loved it.
In any case...there is lots of work to be done. But I'm hungry.
Ramen and Gilmore Girls!

Rainy Days and Mondays
There's something about rainy days.
So, I'm giving this blogging thing a go. Planning to write every single day. It amazes me that I've had this blog since 2005 and actually wrote consistently, up until a little more than a year ago. That seems like so long ago.
It may have something to do with my crazy English professor, though I don't really know why. I just feel like I should start writing again, and Facebook notes are just annoying. This was made for this, so this is what I shall use it for.
These people in the lounge are annoying me, but I don't get good wireless internet reception in my room.
You win some, you lose some.
This college thing is nuts. I love it. I just don't want to think about not being here over the summer and having to readjust to life back at home. Not that home is a bad thing, but there is just so much going on here, so much excitement.
I don't even really get too bothered by all the work I have to do anymore. I used to absolutely loathe homework, but now it's just more of a stressor than anything else. It doesn't annoy me near as much.
That being said, Fundamentals of Photojournalism is nothing short of intense. But I love it. So it works out in the end. Political Science test on Thursday that needs to be studied for and English paper that needs to be revised about a bajillion times. And notes for J1100. Serious.
On the more exciting side of things, the Mizzou vs. Kansas basketball game is tonight! There really is nothing more exciting to me than a Mizzou basketball game - the people, the music, the cheering, the pace of the game. It's crazy. I love it. So, tonight is the big kahuna.
Nothing incredibly profound is happening these days. Just a lot of waking up, going to class, and doing the work for it. But I found a glimpse of myself last night, listening to music on the laptop, relaxing, and giddy at the fact that I received a text from the love of my life. I felt like a kid again, like myself. I guess the past couple weeks have just been so stressful that I haven't had time to slow down and enjoy things. But even if that only happens once in awhile, at least it still happens.
And speaking of things that still happen, it's about time for a nap. Don't know much else.
Til next time.
